But most Christians see only a part of the whole picture when it comes to God's will for their prosperity. Get a 'Bird's Eye View' of God's Will For Your Life Financially! The general story line of the prosperity gospel goes something like this: God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The word for 'life' used in this passage is 'zoe', which refers to divine life. God's will for your life, for my life, and for all the people in the world is that we may all have abundance in every realm of our existence. God wants His people to prosper financially. By God's grace, we will let all preaching that does not meet His divine standard fall away and find within our possession the one true gem. Throughout the Word, God plainly shows that His will is for His covenant people to have a surplus of prosperity. The Prosperity gospel is largely a Jesus, it should be central to His followers message as well. I suggest that implicit in the prosperity gospel—and buried under all its perversions and distortions—is a lingering testament that God is concerned with the material conditions of the poor. Believers don't need to plead with the Heavenly Father for prosperity, or beg Him to meet their needs. He promised to make Abraham rich, and the promise of Abraham is ours today (Galatians 3:13-14; Genesis 17:6). As we begin to Particularly in America, there is a cultural mindset of prosperity.
